Advisory to APP/SMG’s buyers, investors released

World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Indonesia released yesterday “Advisory to Buyers and Investors of Sinar Mas Group / Asia Pulp & Paper (APP)” recommending companies not to “enter into a new sourcing agreement with or investment in SMG/APP until APP adopts the re-association roadmap and a regular, independent 3rd party verification demonstrates significant progress by SMG/APP companies, its affiliates and their global wood supply partners against the NGO published Criteria and Indicators.”

EoF: Sinar Mas/APP’s denial misleading, they source of haze since ten years ago

Sinar Mas Group (SMG) and Asia Pulp & Paper (APP) last week denied publicly that their companies are involved in ongoing forest and land fires. Eyes on the Forest coalition said that media stunt by the giant company is ridiculous and hard to trust.
